Invoicing

Send An Invoice. Get Paid Online. No Hardware. No Waiting.

Invoicing
Not every business collects payment at a counter. Contractors bill after the job is finished. Consultants invoice at the end of the month. Service providers send payment requests before they even show up. Wholesalers work on net terms with customers who pay by bank transfer. For all of these businesses, the standard payment terminal model doesn't fit — and most processors don't offer a meaningful alternative.

2Accept's invoicing feature is built specifically for businesses whose payment cycle happens away from the point of sale. Create a professional invoice from your 2Accept dashboard, send it to your customer by email, and give them a secure link to pay online by card or ACH — on their schedule, from any device.

The entire process is paperless, traceable, and linked to your 2Accept account so that every payment appears alongside your in-person and online transactions in one unified record.

2Accept invoicing supports both card and ACH payment — giving high-ticket and B2B customers the option to pay by bank transfer rather than credit card, reducing processing costs on large invoices.

How 2Accept Invoicing Works

01

Create the Invoice

Log in to your 2Accept dashboard from any computer, tablet, or smartphone. Enter the payment amount, itemized line items (services rendered, products delivered, project milestones), the customer's name and email address, and any notes or payment terms relevant to the transaction. The invoice is generated immediately — no software to install, no template to configure, no separate billing system to maintain.

Invoicing for Card Payments

Customers who receive a 2Accept invoice can pay by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) or debit card directly through the hosted checkout page. The checkout flow is fully encrypted, PCI DSS compliant, and processes through your existing 2Accept merchant account — so there's no separate gateway, no secondary approval, and no additional setup required.

Card-not-present (CNP) transactions processed through invoicing are charged at the standard keyed-in rate for your merchant account. For most merchants, this rate is still significantly lower than what a flat-rate processor charges on the same transaction type.

Invoicing for ACH and eCheck Payments

For high-ticket invoices — large service contracts, B2B purchases, project deposits, equipment rentals — card processing fees can represent a meaningful cost. A 2.5% processing fee on a $20,000 invoice is $500. On a $100,000 commercial transaction, it's $2,500.

2Accept invoicing supports ACH and eCheck as a payment option alongside cards, allowing customers to pay directly from their bank account. ACH processing fees are a fraction of card interchange costs, which directly improves margin on large-ticket transactions without requiring the customer to write a physical check or wire funds manually.

Recurring Invoices and Scheduled Billing

For businesses with recurring revenue — monthly retainers, service contracts, subscription arrangements, membership fees — 2Accept invoicing supports scheduled and recurring billing workflows. Set up a recurring invoice, define the billing interval (weekly, monthly, quarterly, or custom), and 2Accept sends the invoice automatically and processes the payment when the customer settles. Card-on-file storage allows repeat customers to authorize future charges without re-entering card details for every invoice cycle.

Invoice Tracking and Accounts Receivable Visibility

01

Real-Time Status Dashboard

Your 2Accept invoicing dashboard displays every invoice across its full lifecycle — from the moment it's sent to the moment it's paid. You can see at a glance which customers have opened their invoice, which have paid, and which are overdue, without pulling a report or cross-referencing a spreadsheet.

02

Overdue Invoice Management

When an invoice passes its due date without payment, 2Accept's system flags it as overdue in your dashboard. You can send a payment reminder directly from the dashboard — a professional follow-up email that includes the original invoice details and a fresh payment link — without drafting a new message or leaving the platform.

03

Payment History by Customer

Every customer who has paid through 2Accept invoicing builds a payment history in your dashboard. Over time, this record gives you a clear view of which customers pay promptly, which require follow-up, and which represent higher accounts receivable risk — actionable data for managing credit terms and prioritizing collection effort.

Security And Compliance

01

Hosted Checkout — No Card Data on Your Systems

When a customer clicks the payment link in their invoice email, they are directed to a 2Accept-hosted checkout page. Card details are entered directly into 2Accept's secure payment environment — not on your website, not in your email server, and not on any system you manage. This removes the cardholder data environment from your infrastructure entirely, dramatically simplifying your PCI DSS compliance obligations.

End-to-End Encryption

Invoicing for High-Risk and Regulated Businesses

One of the most frustrating realities for high-risk merchants is that even basic business tools — invoicing, virtual terminals, recurring billing — are unavailable to them through mainstream processors. A CBD brand, a firearms accessories retailer, or a dietary supplement company cannot access Clover's invoicing feature because they cannot get a Clover account. The same is true across virtually every major platform.

2Accept invoicing is available to every merchant with an active 2Accept account — including merchants in high-risk and regulated categories. If your business has been approved by 2Accept for payment processing, you have full access to the invoicing module from day one.

2Accept invoicing is included as a feature of your merchant account. There is no separate module fee, no per-invoice charge beyond standard transaction processing rates, and no additional approval required to activate it.
